This new suspension system for the redesigned Colorado has passed the FMVSS126 test for stability control compliance. To properly lift the new Colorado/Canyon suspension 5.5", we started with new ductile cast iron steering knuckles. The new knuckles position the critical steering and control arm mounting location and work in harmony with the heavy-duty fabricated crossmembers. Along with new crossmembers, the provided differential drop brackets lower and reposition the front differential for correct CV shaft angles and still allow for use of the factory front driveshaft.

Speaking of the front driveshaft, a spacer is included to adjust the length and retain optimum CV joint position. A full width differential skid plate protects the relocated differential from the underside and ties the front and rear crossmembers together. Moving up, the factory struts are retained and relocated with top spacers to gain the full 5.5" of lift. The top spacers do not require any strut disassembly and properly angle and position the struts to eliminate binding through wheel travel. Extended sway bar links, bump stop extensions and brake line relocation are also included to make this a complete kit.

In the rear, a new block and U-bolt kit provided 4" of lift to level out the rear with the front. Rear Zone Hydro or Nitro shock options are available.

Rear Shock Selection

Zone Offroad Hydro Shocks

Standard hydraulic shocks. 10 stage velocity-sensitive progressive valving with 5/8" double chromed hardened steel rod and internal rebound bumper.

Zone Offroad Nitro Shocks

Full displaced valving offers a better valving range on both the compression and extension travel. This vehicle specific valving is pressurized with a low pressure nitrogen gas. This gas charge ensures split second response and reduced aeration. Combine these features with the special Fluon banded piston and this shock is built to perform.

Fox Adventure Series Shocks

FOX 2.0 Adventure Series shocks have been built specifically for Zone Offroad and valved to compliment your Zone lift kit. Utilizing FOX's proven damping technology to provide a comfortable on-road ride and predictable off-road handling in a variety of conditions, they use a 2″ OD steel body construction with a large 5/8″ heat treated hard chrome plated shaft for increased strength and durability. The monotube design uses an internal floating piston (IFP) to separate the shock oil from the high-pressure, nitrogen charged gas chamber. This eliminates oil aeration for fade-free performance from the vehicle specific valved shocks for in rough terrain.
